Oppo R7 With Snapdragon 615 SoC Listed Online Ahead of Wednesday Launch

The Oppo R7 has been listed by an e-commerce website ahead of the company's Wednesday launch. According to the online retailer, the Oppo R7 smartphone will be available at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 30,800). So far the new Oppo handset has not been listed by the company.

PhoneArena notes that the third-party online retailer, JD.com, is notifying interested consumers that the official pricing of the Oppo R7 will be only revealed on Wednesday.

According to the online retailer, the Oppo R7 will feature a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display offering 441ppi pixel density; a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7GHz; 3GB of RAM; an Adreno 405 GPU; 16GB inbuilt storage; a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; an 8-megapixel front-facing camera; 3G; 4G; dual-SIM, and dual standby support.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop-based handset is said to be backed by a 2320mAh battery and also supports the company's VOOC quick charge that can charge a battery to 75 percent in just 30 minutes.

Oppo recently silently unveiled the Neo 5s smartphone by listing it on its global website. Some reports claimed that the handset was already available in select markets at EUR 160 (approximately Rs. 11,600). The new Oppo smartphone features 4G LTE connectivity, supported by both SIMs card slots.

The dual-SIM based Oppo Neo 5s supports one Micro-SIM and another Nano-SIM. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based Color OS 2.0.1 on top. The Oppo Neo 5s features a 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) FWVGA IPS TFT display, the same as its predecessor. The company stresses that the handset supports gloved and wet touch input.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor that's coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. The Oppo Neo 5s bears 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, double exposure, smile shot, and HDR options.
