Oppo Reno press event in Zurich is set for April 24

Oppo has sent out invites to foreign media for the launch of Oppo Reno smartphone. The event is set to be held on April 24, and the company is expected to unveil the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom smartphone. Oppo has already revealed that it is introducing the Oppo Reno in China on April 10, and the latest development confirm the international launch details of the phone. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor and is likely to feature Oppo's 10x Zoom technology and a triple rear camera setup.

Pocket-Lint reports that it has received a press invite from Oppo for an April 24 event in Zurich. If the invite is any indication, the company will launch the Oppo Reno phone at the event. The tagline of the event is ‘beyond the obvious'. The Oppo Reno has been part of numerous leaks running up to the launch, which have revealed several key details of the phone.

High-end variant Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is teased to come with a triple rear camera setup – with one 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor, another 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle (120 degrees) lens, and a last 13-megapixel sensor with a periscope style lens setup that will enable 10x zoom (16mm to 160mm focal length). The phone is also teased to be TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection.

There's also expected to be a Oppo Reno Standard Edition that is rumoured to sport a dual rear camera setup, and a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The Oppo Reno is already up for reservation on the company's OppoShop website in China in a total of four colour options - Extreme Night Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, and Nebula Purple.
