Samsung's next Galaxy Note smartphone has once again been claimed to launch as the Galaxy Note 7, corroborating previous leaks. In a series of tweets, Blass further suggested that the Galaxy Note 7 will launch with the iris scanner. If true, the Galaxy Note 7 will be the first Samsung smartphone to sport such technology.

The iris scanner claim comes within days after a report from Korea said that Patron, a Korea-based camera module maker, would supply the iris camera modules to Samsung. It was believed that Patron won the tender months ago for supplying the entire volume of biometric modules needed for possibly for the Galaxy Note 7. To recall, the South Korean company had recently launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris in India featuring an iris scanner for biometric authentication.

In another tweet, Blass suggested few innards of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone including a 5.7-inch QHD Super Amoled display which seems to be identical to the last year's Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The handset is also said to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-pixel PDAF (phase detection autofocus) feature and a 5-megapixel front camera. To recall, the Galaxy Note 5 featured a 16-megapixel rear camera.

This may mean that the Galaxy Note 7 may have the 64GB model as the base storage option. Blass also claimed that the Note 7 will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
