Samsung unveiled its flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 at an Unpacked event on March 14, 2013, with shipments beginning April 2013.

A report by Yonhap News claims that the company has managed to ship over 20 million Samsung Galaxy S4 units of by end of June. The report also goes on to claim that it took Samsung Galaxy S III about 100 days to reach this mark, so its successor is selling 1.7 times faster.

The publication also claims that Samsung managed to sell 500,000 units in Korea alone.

In May, Samsung had announced that it has managed to ship 10 million units of its Galaxy S4 smartphone. RBC Capital Markets analyst Mark Sue has predicted that the Korean smartphone maker will ship 80 million units in 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S III had managed to ship 60 million units in the same period.
