While Samsung's official statement discards rumours for a premium version of its recently launched Samsung Galaxy S5, the rising number of leaks and rumours makes the company's stance a little hard to believe. The much-rumoured premium variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5, tipped to be called the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, has now reportedly been added in Bluetooth SIG's database.

The alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime appeared on Bluetooth SIG's website with the codename SM-G906L, a codename that has previously been unofficially associated with the Galaxy S5 Prime. The Bluetooth SIG page for the device does not contain any specifications apart from Bluetooth 4.0, which we could have guessed easily. The SM-G906L is also said to be under a testing phase as the hardware version is mentioned as REV0.1.

Rumours from past reports indicate the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime will be launched in mid-June. It has been further noted that the smartphone can be priced in Korea for KRW 900,000 (roughly $880 or Rs. 52,000). Earlier there were rumours from Korea suggesting the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime would be limited edition smartphone with a QHD Super AMOLED display, specifically designed to counter the LG G3.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 (Review | Pictures) Prime besides SM-G906L, is also said to arrive in SM-G906K and SM-G906S variants. It was rumoured that Samsung would be ditching Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets on the SM-G906K variant, and would instead use an Intel processor for one of the two variants (SM-G906L and SM-G906K), while the other would sport the Samsung Exynos 5430 chipset. However, the third variant - SM-G906S - has already made an appearance in a listing on a Hong Kong website with pricing (HKD 5,070) and specifications that included 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 805 processor - better specifications than the official Galaxy S5.

Going into further details, it is being said that for the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime variant sporting the Exynos 5430 chipset, Samsung might aim for a 2.1GHz and 1.5GHz clocking speed on the ARM Cortex A15 and A7 cores respectively, and boast of a small boost in CPU power compared to previous iterations.
