Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Limited Editions Launched

Sony has introduced limited editions of its Xperia Z3 range of devices including the flagship Xperia Z3, mini-variant Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

The limited edition Sony Xperia Z3 devices have been launched in Germany and will be available in limited numbers in the country - 33 units each of Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

The Sony Xperia Z3 (Review | Pictures) limited edition has been priced at EUR 669 (Rs. 51,200 approximately), Xperia Z3 Compact (Review | Pictures) limited edition at EUR 519 (Rs. 39,720 approximately), and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact limited edition at EUR 499 (Rs. 38,200 approximately). Notably, the limited edition Xperia Z3 range will be available in Germany only.

Under Sony's Stadt Talente project (via Xperia Blog), three artists were invited for representing their favourite cities using the Xperia Z3 range as the canvas.

According to Sony German's official blog, Vesa Tapani Sammalisto used the Xperia Z3 to represent Berlin, while Shinpei Hasegawa illustrated Tokyo on the Xperia Z3 Compact, and lastly, Jan Feliks Kallwejt used the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact to represent Warsaw.

At IFA, Sony launched the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The company soon released the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact in India, priced Rs. 51,990 and Rs. 44,990 respectively.

Earlier this month, Sony confirmed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be rolled out to the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 handset series at the start of 2015.
