Xiaomi on Tuesday will hold the eighth flash sale for its Redmi 1S smartphones in India, via Flipkart. Notably, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S is the same smartphone that the Indian Air Force has warned its personnel and their family from using, though the company has since downplayed the incident.

The flash sale on Tuesday will kick off at 2pm IST on Flipkart for registered users. The Chinese company has revealed 60,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S units will be going on sale.

The Flipkart registration page notes that only one smartphone will be available for sale per email ID and also advises users to log in at least 2 hours before it begins. Notably, the company will not be bundling the screen protector and Micro-SIM card adapter it had on previous occasions.

The seventh flash sale of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S saw 90,000 units going on sale via Flipkart. In a first, the company did not announce the time taken for the Redmi 1S to go 'out of stock' in the last flash sale, which might be a sign of fading demand for the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, after the first six flash sales saw thousands of smartphones being snapped up in seconds.

The sixth flash sale saw 1,00,000 units go on sale for the first time, and the company later announced the smartphones had gone 'out of stock' in 4.2 seconds. Xiaomi had made 1,50,000 units available for Flipkart's Big Billion Day sale - the first Xiaomi sale in India that did not require a registration.

The fifth flash sale saw 60,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphones going out of stock in 13.9 seconds. The fourth flash sale saw 60,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S units going out of stock in 5.2 seconds. 40,000 smartphones went out of stock in just 3.4 seconds in the third flash sale, a good second faster than the second flash sale, which saw 40,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphones go 'out of stock' in 4.5 seconds, meanwhile the first flash sale saw 40,000 units going out of stock in just 4.2 seconds.
