The Poco X3 Pro was touted to be a successor to the fan-favourite and gamers' delight, the Poco F1. While it did prove its worth in games and overall performance with its Snapdragon 800-series SoC, it wasn't a standout device. The new Poco X4 Pro 5G is the follow-up to the X3 Pro, but instead of featuring an equally powerful SoC as its predecessor, if not more, Poco has given it a 600-series 5G SoC.

Poco X4 Pro 5G mobile was launched on 28th February 2022. The phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.67-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels (FHD+) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display sports Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Poco X4 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. It comes with 6GB, 8GB of RAM. The Poco X4 Pro 5G runs Android 11 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The Poco X4 Pro 5G supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Poco X4 Pro 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.

The Poco X4 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Poco X4 Pro 5G measures 165.19 x 76.10 x 8.12mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 205.00 grams. It was launched in Laser Black, Laser Blue, and Poco Yellow colours. It bears a glass body.

The phone looks very sleek and thin and was anticipating a good experience with it Unfortunately after downloading all my apps I found BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, C4 and My 5 plus Virgin TV Go to be stuttery. One app was uncontrollable on volume with blaring out and not able to turn down. This went back and a replacement had the same jittery video so again was returned and a refund issued.Is this review helpful?
