Google Maps is a service many people rely on for navigation in India. The service has become extremely popular in the wake of taxi companies such as Ola and Uber using these services extensively, apart from the rise of Android phones in India, almost all of which ship with Google Maps pre-installed. Heavy Google Maps users Rohan Naravane and Gagan Gupta join Pranay Parab to talk about how the service can be improved.

We start by sharing some bad experiences we've had with Google Maps and how it sent us to places that we otherwise wouldn't visit. That is followed by us wondering whether Google needs to improve the way it serves maps data, with special emphasis on planning and how wide roads are.

Google Maps Needs to Learn More About India

Rohan then talks about the times Google Maps was a lifesaver for him and others chime in with their experiences where there was no one to offer directions and the app saved them a lot of hassle. We also discuss alternative methods to verify the directions on Google Maps and those that people you ask for directions offer.

Finally, Gagan reveals his feature request for Google Maps and how that is something Google can't implement at the moment. We all talk about how much that feature will improve Google Maps, but for now it's just going to be on our wish lists.
