Micro-blogging website Twitter on Friday introduced a special emoji for Ganesh festival to delight millions of its users.

When people tweet using hashtags like #GaneshChaturthi, #HappyGaneshChaturthi or #Ganeshotsav, a Lord Ganesha emoji will be activated next to the hashtag.

The emoji went live on Sunday and will be active until September 15 - the last day of 10-day festival, celebrated across much of the country.
