Facebook's Townhall is a regular occurrence, but it's making waves in India because the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg is in Delhi holding the question and answer session in the IIT-Delhi campus. The townhall is taking place on Wednesday to hold a Q&A session with the students and to connect with Indians, whom he described as one of the most active and engaged communities on Facebook.

Just last month, Zuckerberg had participated in another townhall, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Zuckerberg's visit to India comes at a time when the debate about net neutrality is already at a high-point here, and Facebook has also been strongly advocating the service in India, with print and television advertisements, and ads on Facebook as well.

At the townhall, Zuckerberg will answer questions which were posted on his Facebook profile, though looking at the post, some of the top questions include one where a user wants to know how to stop Candy Crush requests. Zuckerberg will also be answering select pre-screened questions from the students at IIT-Delhi.

His visit has stirred up the net neutrality debate in India, soon after Facebook's Internet.org was renamed to Free Basics. Many of the concerns about net neutrality remain in place however, along with questions about privacy and security when using Facebook's zero-rated platform. However, it is not clear at the moment if Zuckerberg will directly address these issues or not at the townhall discussion.

Either way, it's certainly going to be a change of pace from Zuckerberg's visit to the Taj Mahal on Tuesday - which he [on Facebook ] said was "more stunning than he expected". It's also going to be fairly different from the last Facebook townhall, which took place on the company's campus, with PM Modi in attendance. The PM grew emotional during the townhall which focused much more on the two men's backgrounds, then on technical questions or policy issues related to Internet businesses in India.
