Asus MeMo Pad HD 7 tablet launched for $129; MeMo Pad FHD 10 official with Intel inside

Asus has announced two new 7-inch and 10-inch Android tablets, the MeMO Pad HD 7 and MeMO Pad FHD 10 at the Computex trade show in Taipei.

The MeMO Pad HD 7 is a 7-inch tablet that is powered by an ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor and has 1GB of RAM. It sports a 1280x800 pixels IPS display. The tablet features a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera that can capture 720p HD videos and optional 5-megapixel rear camera. The tablet will be available in 8GB and 16GB internal storage variants in addition to offering a microSD card slot. The tablet also boasts of stereo speakers with enhanced sound through the integrated ASUS SonicMaster audio technology. Asus will also bundle 16GB ASUS WebStorage free for one year with the tablet. The tablet will be available in Black, White, Pink and Green colours. The tablet is 10.8mm thick and weighs 302 grams. The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The 8GB version of the MeMO Pad HD 7 will cost $129, while the 16GB version has been priced at $149. The tablet will be available starting July 2013.

The MeMO Pad FHD 10 on the other hand, is a 10-inch tablet powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor. It features a 10-inch IPS display that has a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The tablet sports a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and support for 1080p video recording. The MeMO Pad FHD 10 is available with 16GB or 32GB storage capacities and also feature a microSD card slot for expansion. In addition to this Asus also offers 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage with the tablet. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The tablet is 9.5mm thick and weighs 580 grams.

The tablet, which according to the company, sports a 'micro-weave finish,' is available in Royal Blue, Silk White, and Vivid Pink colours. This tablet also offers a richer audio experience through the ASUS SonicMaster audio technology. There's no word on the availability and pricing for this tablet.
