Airtel was previously offering 1GB daily data benefits with its Rs. 448 recharge

Airtel has revised the Rs. 448 recharge option in India. With the new move, the telco is offering unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and 1.5GB daily data for 82 days with the Rs. 448 recharge. The new development comes just days after Airtel launched the Rs. 169 recharge with 1GB daily data benefits for 28 days. The Rs. 169 recharge was notably launched in the open market to compete against Vodafone's Rs. 169 recharge. The operator is also offering the Rs. 399 recharge with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and 1GB data per day for 84 days.

Among other benefits, the revised Rs. 448 Airtel recharge brings 1.5GB of daily data benefits for 82 days, meaning a total of 123GB data for 82 days. The same Rs. 448 recharge option was previously offering 1GB data per day for 82 days.

Alongside the enhanced data benefits, the Rs. 448 recharge includes unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls as well as 100 SMS messages per day for the entire 82-day validity. The revised recharge option sits next to the Rs. 399 recharge that's offering 1GB daily data benefits, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS messages per day for 84 days. Notably, the Rs. 399 recharge was upgraded from the original 70-day validity to the 84-day validity offering back in January.

Last week, Airtel launched the Rs. 169 recharge with 1GB data per day, 100 SMS messages per day, and unlimited national calls for 28 days. That Rs. 169 recharge competes against the Rs. 169 Vodafone recharge that offers similar benefits.

The revised Rs. 448 recharge by Airtel was first spotted by TelecomTalk. The telecom blog also mentioned that similar to the latest Airtel recharge, Vodafone and Idea Cellular are offering their list of 1.5GB daily data options that come at Rs. 229, Rs. 479, and Rs. 529.

Reliance Jio, which has already disrupted the telecom sector in India with its affordable data-focused plans, offers 1.5GB daily data benefits for 91 days with its Rs. 449 recharge. The Rs. 449 Jio recharge also includes unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS messages per day.
