BlackBerry has introduced a new cross-platform app called BBM Meetings that will allow video conferencing with up to 25 participants at the same time.

The app is now currently available for Android and BlackBerry device users on Google Play and BlackBerry World respectively. BBM Meetings is also available to download for Mac and Windows users. The BBM Meetings app page suggests that an iOS app is on the way - "Coming soon to iOS".

The company is currently offering a 30-day free trial for the BBM Meetings app, and says it will charge $13.75 (Rs. 850 approximately) per host per month. The app's page also notes that "BBM Meetings subscriptions are billed annually."

The company notes, "BBM Meetings is not just another collaboration app. It's a new way to work smarter and be more productive, from any Android, iPhone, BlackBerry 10 smartphone, Windows PC or Mac."

With BBM Meetings, users can turn any BBM chat, group chat or BBM Voice call into a live BBM Meeting with just a click of a button. The company stresses that the app has been built first for mobile and allows options to deliver a presentation, share a document, or even annotate through the mobile.
