Dropbox has updated its iOS client to version 1.5, which brings along new features that will be highly appreciated by cloud users.

First up is the ability to automatically upload photos shot from the device both over Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The new version prompts users to choose between manual and automatic upload. Users can not only upload new photos but also the saved older ones as well. Videos are excluded from cellular data uploads owing to bigger file sizes. But they can be uploaded over Wi-Fi.

The company has also added a new Gallery view that displays the thumbnails of all the uploaded images.

Currently, Dropbox offers 2GB of free storage to new users, who sign up for the cloud service. But with this new update, users can earn 3GB of free extra storage in 500MB increments for auto-photo uploads. This incentive is proportional to the number and size of images uploaded automatically.

Other notable updates include moving and deleting files in bulk and uploading files of any size. That's right. Any size!
