Foodpanda, a Web service and app that lets users order food from different restaurants based on a user's location, has now been updated with new features, including the cashless mobile payment option via linked credit cards.

The Foodpanda app version 2.0.9 for Android and iOS brings the option of cashless mobile payment once users link their credit cards. The option is only available for those restaurants which support online payment. The upgrade also allows Foodpanda app users to reorder any previous order from the restaurants.

Last month, another popular restaurant-centric portal and app, Zomato, added a new feature to its arsenal in the form of Collections. The feature comes with popular restaurants across specific themes and trends at a particular location. So users can look at microbreweries in Delhi NCR, kick-ass burgers in Bangalore, pet-friendly joints in London or rooftop restaurants in Johannesburg.

"Having added a social layer to restaurant discovery, we wanted to go a step further and provide information that foodies want, but may not necessarily want to search for," stated Deepinder Goyal, co-founder and CEO, Zomato.
