Ola's Benefits Program Offers Free In-Cab Wi-Fi, Curated Brand Experiences

Personal transportation app Ola kicked off its new benefits program called 'Ola Select' on Wednesday, which provides benefits like free in-cab Wi-Fi, upgrades at no extra cost, special discounts, and a range of exclusive benefits from Ola's partner brands like Myntra, Snapdeal and Cleartrip.

Ola has partnered with tech brands and startups in the past, and recently partnered with OnePlus to offer invites to the OnePlus 2 by using a special recharge code in the app. Myntra provided a free makeover to Ola customers recently, and such promotions will now be made a part of the Select experience, with Ola playing the curator of similar events and customised branded experiences.

Customers have no way of enrolling for the 'Select' program from the app, and an Ola spokesperson informed us that 'Select' will be only given to users who have a high degree of usage.

Sudarshan Gangrade, Vice President- Marketing, Ola said that Ola Select is a way for the company to be ultra-special to their biggest customers. "We are confident that Ola Select customers would enjoy the additional benefits and continue to be patrons and evangelists in our mission of mobility for a billion people." he added.

Ola shuttered down cab booking operations from its website, going app only in late July, and launched a delivery-based app called Ola Store. Ola Store has clocked 10,000-50,000 downloads on Google Play at the time of writing.
