• Best alternative to an Apple Mac Air

  Pros: Excellent Super lightweight laptop! Great battery life. Super slim.Cons: fingerprint smudges on the aluminum top cover. Speakers are not very loud when using the laptop in your lap (they work well on a tabletop surface, though).I would buy it again and recommend it for others.

  Have been working with the Zenbook for the past week. It's absolutely amazing! I had a Toshiba Portege R835 for three years which I really liked but over the past six months it just kinda got tired of life. So I wanted another lightweight 13" laptop and the Zenbook is just ideal. It's blazing fast, the screen is incredibly crisp, even Windows 8 is not the nightmare everyone seems to paint it. I love the fact that the Zenbook doesn't run hot. And the color, which is like a rich dark plum color, is, to me at least, very attractive. But most of all I love the feel of the machine. It's like working with a slab of highly machined steel. The only quibble is that maybe it could use another USB port because I need one for a wireless mouse, one for headphones and I need another for a cable internet connection, but that's a small point. In summary I love it.
