One of the most popular instalments of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise by Rockstar, GTA V, is now almost confirmed to soon hit the online shelves in its PC, or Windows version. PC gamers were up in arms ever since Rockstar made no mention of a PC release for the game apart from saying it was up for consideration, and felt left out while PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers enjoyed the game since its September 2013 release.

While Rockstar has kept mum about the release of the game's PC version, online retailer Amazon's German site recently listed GTA V's PC version, giving PC gamers something to be enthusiastic about.

GTA V PC version is listed at 60 euros, which is approximately Rs. 5,000. There is no word on the minimum system requirements of the game as of now, but based on the game's graphics and other data, it is being speculated that a mid-range PC would struggle to run the game as it comes with high-end graphics. The listing page also mentions that the PC version is only available for Windows 7 and Windows Vista OS versions.

Interestingly, corroborating the Amazon Germany listing, Amazon France reportedly also listed the PC version on its shelves, a listing that has now been removed from the website, according to Gamespot.

Back in October 2013, Chris Evenden, Nvidia's senior director of investor relations, by mistake spitted out the information stating "[PC] gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4." Later a statement was made to Eurogamer, which mentioned "Nvidia does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability."

Recently a petition regarding the release of GTA 5 PC version crossed 660,000 supporters on change.org pressing the issue on Rockstar.
