The Amazon Great Indian Sale will return on May 11 and continue till May 14 as the company as the battle for the supremacy in the Indian e-commerce industry continues. Arch rival Flipkart will start its own sale on May 14, the last day of the Amazon sale, meaning back to back discounts for consumers across the two platforms. In the Amazon sale, users can expect up to 50 percent discounts on smartphones, accessories, and other electronics, along with cashbacks on Citi cards.
Smartphone brands like Samsung (up to 18 percent off), Motorola (up to 40 percent off), Coolpad (up to 9 percent off), and OnePlus (exchange offers and no-cost EMI) will various offers on their smartphones in the Amazon sale. There's an additional cashback of 10 percent on site purchases, and 15 percent cashback on app purchases using a Citi debit and credit card.
Buyers on the Amazon Great Indian Sale will also get up to 80 percent off on accessories like mobile covers, power banks, screen protectors, and data cables. Amazon products like the Kindle Paperwhite will get a flat Rs. 2,000 off, while the one-year Kindle Unlimited subscription can be availed at Rs. 1,499 instead of the usual Rs. 2,388 during the sale period. Also, if you purchase the newly launched Amazon Fire TV Stick (Review), you are eligible to get Rs. 499 as Amazon Pay balance cashback. To see all the upcoming deals on Amazon India, head here.
Along with the sale, Amazon will also be running contests on its app and website both this time. Using Amazon Pay, customers can participate in a contest where they stand a chance to win up to Rs. 1 lakh cash per hour. On the Amazon app, Yatra is giving Rs. 1,000 off on domestic hotel bookings for every purchase of up to Rs. 500. Detailed terms and conditions are yet to be listed on the e-commerce portal.
Apart from the Amazon sale, there's also a contest - called Amazon App Jackpot - that allows users to win a Fitbit Blaze smartwatch, iPhone 7 (Product Red) 128GB, JBL Pulse 2 Speaker, and the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro.
