BSNL Customers Can Now Retrieve Deleted Mails From 30 Years Ago

State-run telecom firm BSNL Tuesday said its customers using its hosting and email services will soon have a facility to retrieve their mails deleted as long as 30 years ago.

"This capability guarantees more security of data for users and provides power to recover from accidentally deleted emails at his own web-based email platform. He doesn't require any administrator of BSNL or an expert of data recovery. This capability will be available for each and every user in his email," BSNL Director CFA NK Gupta said in a statement.

The facility is now available for customers using @bsnl.in' , '@sancharnet.in', '@dataone.in' and domains hosted with BSNL.

While the company has started offering service to retrieve e-mail deleted in last 15 days for free, it will start service for longer duration soon.

"The longer duration email retrieval service will be offered on paid basis with maximum duration being 30 years.

The charges for the same is yet to be decided," Data Infosys CEO Ajay Data said.

BSNL provided all types of services like landline, Broadband, 2G/3G Mobile services, wifi, WI-max, CDMA voice and data services, leased line services, VSAT services, managed services, advanced email service to its customers.

The company is using Xgen plus email platform which to a large extent this facility eliminates the need of archiving and backup of email box.
