Google Shopping on Mobile Goes In-Depth for Black Friday, Cyber Monday

Google, ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are some of the biggest sale days in the US, has announced that product searches from smartphones and tablets will now show more in-depth shopping information.

The company on its official blog post titled "Tis the season for mobile shopping" writes, "Nearly 50 percent of 25-34 year-olds use their phone to shop online while standing in line at a store. And because we want to help you research products more easily this holiday weekend, we're rolling out new mobile features to Google Shopping."

The company details that the new feature will start rolling out this week and will show additional details such as where to buy it and even product reviews from customers.

Users searching for products from their smartphones or tablets can also rotate selected products on Google Shopping in 360 degrees to see them in more detail.

Notably, the new mobile features being rolled out by Google can be already found on online retailers such as Best Buy or Staples, which provide in-depth information about products when a user searches them.

For checking the new Google Shopping feature on a mobile or tablet, users will have to launch Google Search on the device and type the name of the product. Then, users will have to tap the Shopping category to check the new in-depth results for products searches.

The search engine giant also revealed some statistics related to the shoppers that are gearing up for the upcoming Black Friday shopping. It said, "We found that 27 percent of shoppers have already begun hunting for Black Friday deals online."

According to Google, some of the top questions put up by people related to Black Friday on Google Search are what time do stores open on Black Friday; what time does Black Friday start; when does Black Friday end, and what to buy on Black Friday.
