Dell XPS 13 With 8th Generation Intel Core Processors Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Dell on Monday launched the latest version of its popular XPS 13 laptop in India. Priced starting at Rs. 84,590, the Dell XPS 13 is now available for purchase via the Dell India website, Dell exclusive stores, Croma, and Reliance Digital. The biggest highlight of the laptop is its 'virtually borderless' InfinityEdge display that is also available in multi-touch and QHD+ options. The lightweight laptop weighs as little as 1.2kg, and is quite sleek too, with dimensions of 9-15x304x200mm. The laptop also bears Waves MaxxAudio Pro-tuned stereo speakers (1-watt each). All the Dell XPS 13 models launched run Windows 10.

The Dell XPS is made with machined aluminium, carbon fibre, and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT (on touchscreen versions). To recall, the refreshed variant of the laptop was launched in August this year. Commenting on the launch, Alen Joe Jose, Product Marketing Director, Consumer & Small Business, Dell, India said, "The XPS brand is legendary. From innovations in design philosophy using smarter materials to performance-driven sleek design construction, the new XPS 13 is an absolute delight. The addition of Dell Dynamic Power mode with 8th generation Intel core processor is what makes this machine stand out. The XPS leads our ultrabook portfolio, passing on the legacy to more innovations, soon to come."

The base model of the Dell XPS 13 sports an eighth generation Intel Core i5-8250U (goes up to Intel Core i7-8550U) processor coupled with Intel UHD Graphics 620 and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM (up to 16GB). It bears a 13.3-inch full-HD display (1920x1080 pixels) IPS InfinityEdge display. The base model ships with Windows 10 Home, complete with Office Home & Student 2016.

Other XPS 13 specifications listed on the Dell India site include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports, 1 SD card reader, 1 headset jack, Noble lock slot, and 1 Thunderbolt 3 port. It features a 256GB PCIe SSD (goes up to 512GB). It runs on a 60Whr battery with a 45W AC adapter, and ships with a 12-month subscription to McAfee LivSafe.
