HP Slate21 all-in-one with 21.5-inch screen, Android 4.2 announced

HP has introduced an Android-based all-in-one at a press event in Beijing. Dubbed as the HP Slate21, this all-in-one comes with 21.5-inch touch display and offers a display resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. This device is powered by Nvidia Tegra 4 processor.

HP Slate21 runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Other specifications include, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, USB 2.0 ports, Bluetooth, DTS Sound technology, Wireless Direct and HP TrueVision HD Webcam. This all-in-one comes with kickstand that enables users to adjust the display angle anywhere between 15 to 75 degrees.

"Customers are looking for technology that simplifies their lives while keeping them connected to the entertainment they enjoy and the content they need," said Jun Kim, vice president and general manager, PC Displays and Accessories, HP. "The HP Slate21 allows families to easily access content through the cloud and enjoy it together on a large, interactive screen."

HP has announced that it will be retailing this device in US from September 2013 for $399. So far the company has not revealed the pricing and availability details for this all-in-one in other markets.

HP Slate21 joins the range of Slate-series Android devices that this computer maker is offering. Under this range, HP had introduced SlateBook x2 in May. HP SlateBook x2 comes with Tegra 4-powered SlateBook x2 Android tablet that includes a keyboard dock. It sports a 10.1-inch 1920X1200 touchscreen and comes with up to 64GB of storage. It runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and ships with a front-facing 720p camera and a rear-facing full-HD camera as well as DTS Sound+ solution.
