Microsoft, in an attempt to boost the reach of Windows 10, is now offering a free evaluation version of its enterprise operating system as a trial for 90 days. The Redmond giant on its TechNet Evaluation Centre website lists details about the 90-day free trial for Windows 10 Enterprise.

The company strictly prompts users not to install the evaluation software "if not an IT professional or are not professionally managing corporate networks or devices". The move can be expected to increase the adoption of the Windows 10 in the enterprise segment as the company claims the evaluation software has been designed for IT professionals interested in trying Windows 10 Enterprise on behalf of their organisation. The company notes that Windows 10 Enterprise will be compatible with the same devices and programs that are compatible with Windows 8.1.

Considering that Windows 10 Enterprise edition has been designed for organisations, it comes with features for IT professionals such as advanced protection tools for security threats; flexible deployment, update, and support options, and comprehensive device and app management and control tools. This also means that the enterprise edition doesn't include apps including the popular Cortana app alongside Mail, Calendar, People, and Photos. The Windows Store will also be not available in the Windows 10 Enterprise edition. The free trial evaluation software of the Windows 10 Enterprise however can offer a look at Windows 10.
