Next week we will be releasing the HTC Fall/Winter 2012 Collection devices. Any guesses what they might be?

The HTC 8X and 8S were launched at a September 19 event in New York. A week prior to the event, the specs of the smartphone, then codenamed HTC Accord had leaked online.

Recently, the pricing of the HTC 8X was revealed online with US retailer BestBuy. The 8GB version of the smartphone was being offered in purple for $99.99 with new activation and $599.99 unactivated.

The pricing for both these phones in India is still unknown.

8X comes with 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display. The device sports an 8MP CMOS sensor with backside-illumination (BSI) for improved low-light performance, along with an f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and a dedicated imaging chip. The front camera is a 2.1MP with f/2.0 aperture and 88 degree ultra-wide angle lens, which also allows for high-definition video capture.

8X is also the first Windows Phone with Beats Audio technology and an audio amplifier. There is no expandable storage on 8X and you will only get 16GB of on-board storage, part of which will be used by the operating system itself.

The 8S comes with a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) super LCD display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 4GB internal memory expandable memory with microSD and a 1,700 mAh battery.

The HTC devices have a design based on the Windows Phone Live Tiles and will come in colours including California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red, and Limelight Yellow.
