The anticipated HTC One (M9) aka Hima launch at the company's pre-MWC event may be accompanied by the rumoured Desire 626 mid-range smartphone, as the latter has now been leaked in press render images along with specifications.

The unannounced HTC Desire 626, codenamed A32, is tipped to include a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution display. The Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone is also said to arrive in two variants, one more powerful than the other.

The first variant is said feature an octa-core Mediatek MT6572 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The lower-end variant is said to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 along with a 1GB of RAM, as per @upleaks.

Both the HTC Desire 626 models are also rumoured to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The models however, will be missing out on flash as per the images shared. Besides 16GB inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card, the smartphones will be backed by a 2000mAh battery. The rumours should however be taken with a pinch of salt as HTC has confirmed none of the above details.

The rumoured Desire 626 might arrive alongside the flagship HTC One (M9) or HTC Hima, which is expected to get launched on March 1 at the pre-MWC 2015 event in Barcelona. The purported specifications of the HTC HTC6535LVW (hima) tipped in AnTuTu benchmarks last month had included a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU; 3GB of RAM; a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a 13-megapixel front camera.

The MWC period is traditionally when HTC unveils its flagship smartphone though. Notably, HTC had launched the One (M8) last year in March, but at an event separate from MWC.
