The HTC M7 just can't get enough attention despite featuring in a series of leaks time and again. This time round, folks over at ETrade Supply have managed to get their hands on the smartphone's rear and front housing parts and have attempted to analyse the device in a detailed video.

Also, Digitimes is reporting that "according to sources at the supply chain", the Taiwanese manufacturer is indeed planning to launch the HTC M7 in London in February 2013. More on that later.

First, let's talk about the device parts seen in the video. The HTC M7 has been compared to two other devices from the company namely the HTC One X and the Droid DNA. The host in the video talks about how the rear housing of the M7 differs from the One X. The M7′s housing is thinner and it also lacks the curved design of the One X and is in fact flat.

But when compared to the Droid DNA, the M7 bears quite a bit of similarity especially in terms of design. While the M7 was taller in comparison to the One X, it appears slightly shorter than the Droid DNA. The thickness seems more or less the same. The host points out that the Droid DNA had stylish metallic buttons including the camera ring, which are apparently missing on the M7. But the M7 does have dedicated camera key that is pretty useful when clicking pictures.

The volume rocker seems to be on the right side along with the camera key, the top features the power button and earphone jack while the left side has the SIM card slot and the bottom has the microUSB port.

Another detail missing in the M7 is that the device isn't waterproof when compared to the Droid DNA that features a rubber gasket running along the insides of the device.

Coming to the back panel, the flash on the M7 is located on the opposite side compared to the DNA and also the M7 does not have an LED notification like the Droid DNA. Other noticeable features are the Beats Audio logo at the bottom, but it doesn't have the FCC lettering. The narrator mentions that would depend on the regions in which the device is launched.

The site also had the middle housing for the M7 that seemed to fit perfectly into the rear housing of the device. As far as the screen size is concerned, the device is likely to come with a 4.7-inch screen.

As far as launch details are concerned, we earlier reported that the device is  expected to be unveiled at a separate event in London, a week ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). According to sources at Digitmes, the HTC M7 will be ready to ship in the "second half of March 2013".

The site also confirms the rumoured specs for the company's upcoming flagship saying that it will be powered by a Qualcomm 1.7.GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphone will also come with a 4.7-inch SoLux 1080p full-HD 468ppi touch display, a 13-megapixel rear camera and will also support 4G LTE.

Other specs include 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and and a 2-megapixel one in the front. The smartphone is also rumoured to feature the company's latest Sense 5.0 UI.
