With the competition among the top smartphone manufacturers continuing to be fought in the offline retail market, Lenovo's Motorola on Thursday opened six Moto Hub brand exclusive retail stores in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai and plans to open 50 more across top tier towns by the end of this year.

The first Moto Hub stores were officially opened at in Delhi-NCR at Great India Place and Logix Mall in Noida and Shipra Mall in Indirapuram. In Mumbai, Moto Hub stores can now be found in Xperia Mall, Korum Mall, and Viviana Mall.

"At Motorola, we understand our consumers' needs and focus on providing them meaningful mobile experiences. We believe with the launch of this new retail channel 'Moto Hub', we are giving customers the opportunity to get access to the complete Motorola portfolio, our technology and devices, in an environment that is more open, fun, and very Motorola," Sudhin Mathur, Managing Director, Motorola Mobility India, told reporters in New Delhi.

Moto Hub stores will be a key destination for consumers to experience the latest Moto-branded products and get a hands-on demo of the entire product portfolio on offer. These stores will house devices that are available exclusively online and will also showcase the complete portfolio of Motorola devices.

Talking about strategy behind Moto Hub stores, Mathur in an emailed statement to Gadgets 360 said, "For us, both e-commerce and retail play an important role in offering consumers choice across feature sets, price tiers, and more, ultimately enabling meaningful experiences for consumers around the world. The objective behind launching Moto Hub is to provide easy access and availability of our products to consumers, where they will be able to experience the entire portfolio of Motorola products at convenient locations. Strengthening the offline retail channel is one of the key priorities for us this financial year and Moto Hub is a step in that direction. We have launched six Moto Hub across Noida and Mumbai and plan to open 50 stores by the end of this financial year."

As part of the inaugural offer, buyers will get free Moto accessories on the purchase of Moto C, Moto E, and Moto G series of handsets, with 50 percent off on Moto Mods on the purchase of Moto Z2 Play along with easy EMI options to choose from.

"We are targeting top tier markets for our initial launch. Our endeavor is to reach as many key markets and TG clusters as possible with the current targeted 50 stores. We will plan the second phase once this roll out is complete," added Mathur.
