Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus Price in India Cut Up to Rs. 1,500

Nokia 1 has become the most affordable Android Go phone in India, countering Xiaomi's Redmi Go

Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus price in India have been slashed. With the new move, the Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus have received a price cut of up to Rs. 1,500. Customers purchasing the Nokia 6.1 Plus 6GB RAM variant are also eligible for a 15 percent cashback on HDFC cards and EMI transactions through Pinelabs. The cashback offer is limited between April 5 and April 20. The 6GB RAM model of the Nokia 6.1 Plus was notably launched in the country just in February this year.

Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus price in India (revised)

The Nokia 1 price in India has been dropped from the launch price of Rs. 5,499 to Rs. 3,999, though its previous MOP (market operating price) was Rs. 4,999 - translating to a Rs. 1,000 price cut. The latest development has made the Nokia 1 the cheapest Android Go phone in the Indian market. The price cut has also made the competition tougher for the likes of Redmi Go and Samsung Galaxy J2 Core.

Alongside the price cut of the Nokia 1, HMD Global has revised the price of the Nokia 2.1. The handset that was launched at Rs. 6,999 is now available in India at Rs. 5,499, though as in the case of the Nokia 1, it's MOP was Rs. 6,499, making it a Rs. 1,000 price cut .

The Nokia 6.1 Plus 6GB RAM variant has also received a price cut and is now on sale at Rs. 16,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 18,499 - a price cut of Rs. 1,500. As we mentioned, the phone has also received a 15 percent cashback on HDFC cards and EMI transactions through Pinelabs. The cashback offer is limited between April 5 and April 20.

 

Nokia 1, Nokia 2.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 1 runs Android Oreo (Go edition) and features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display. There is a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. The phone has a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB). Besides, it comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 2,150mAh battery.

In contrast, the dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 2.1 that debuted with Android Oreo (Go edition) comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. It is also upgradable to Android Pie (Go edition). The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). There are also key highlights such as an 8-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,000mAh battery.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 6.1 Plus runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo and has a 5.8-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display. The phone includes an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB).

For photos and videos, it comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/2.0 lens and a 5-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens. There is also a 16-megapixel sensor at the front along with an f/2.0 lens. Furthermore, the phone comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB) and packs a 3,060mAh battery.
