OnePlus, following its October announcement of another pre-order window for its One smartphone on November 17, has now added that the window will again be open for just one hour - the same as the first OnePlus One pre-order window on October 27.

"When the one-hour pre-order windows opens on November 17 at 16:00 GMT (8am PST, 11am EST, 9:30pm IST), you'll be all set to check out and complete your order with the click of a button," said Bridget Hickey on the company blog post.

Hickey further explains the pre-order process, saying, "If we have the items in stock, we'll ship immediately. If we don't, your order will automatically convert to a pre-order." She explains that pre-ordering customers will be notified of an estimated shipping time, and that they will not be charged until their order ships. This allows them to cancel their order any time before the smartphone ships. Customers can also upgrade their pre-order to immediate shipping if they receive an invite in the interim.

To celebrate the "improved pre-order system", Hickey added that a selection of discounted OnePlus accessories can be bundled with the OnePlus One pre-orders. Users can prepare their pre-order from now on the company pre-order page, and come on November 17 to complete the order.

Notably, the company's pre-order window has been scheduled again because users faced difficulties while ordering the handset on October 27, the company's launch of its pre-order system.

As per the firm, OnePlus servers, despite being doubled in capacity on October 27, faced several problems that prevented users from signing-in and pre-ordering the One smartphone. Other glitches experienced included Canadian customers being labelled under United States, customers accidentally ordering two handsets instead of one, while some customers did not receive the order confirmation mail.

The firm had in October apologised to customers, and said it will enable more servers to execute the process smoothly on November 17, which will also give it more time in hand to refill its inventory.

OnePlus recently announced that since India is a new market, it would like to minimise the risks at launch. As a result, the company will introduce an India-specific invite system for those looking to order the OnePlus One smartphone.

The firm added that Indians will have enough chances to earn invites, either through the firm's forum or its social media channels. Notably, the Director of OnePlus Global, had earlier this month confirmed that the 64GB variant of the OnePlus One smartphone would cost under Rs. 25,000 in India.

OnePlus also claimed earlier this month that it has shipped more than 500,000 handsets worldwide until now and is aiming to sell 500,000 more before the end of this year.
