Samsung’s foldable phone is rumoured to be called Galaxy Fold or Galaxy F

Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce a 5G variant of its upcoming foldable smartphone, likely to be dubbed Samsung Galaxy Fold or Galaxy F, in its home market South Korea. A tech news website on Thursday published the purported colour options for this 5G foldable phone - Blue, Green, Silver, and Black – and noted that the 4G version of the phone will be released in the same colours. Although Samsung is yet to officially state when it plans to introduce its first foldable phone, there have been indications that we might see it at the company's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event, where it will be officially unveiling the new Galaxy S10 smartphones.

A SamMobile report claims that Samsung will launch the 5G-variant of the Galaxy Fold phone, which will reportedly carry the model number SM-F907N, in South Korea. Apparently, the South Korean telecom operators have already completed the 5G deployment in the country and are waiting for the first 5G smartphones. US and South Korea are going to be the first two markets to see the release of 5G smartphones this year. There is no word on whether US will also get the 5G version of Samsung's foldable smartphone.

SamMobile also notes that the Galaxy Fold will be offered in Blue, Green, Silver and Black colour options for both 4G and 5G variants. The other details of the phone remain a mystery, but the rumours indicate that it will sport a 7.3-inch primary foldable screen and a 4.6-inch external OLED secondary display. A recent report claimed that the phone will also include two batteries of 2,190mAh capacity. It is also said to be housing a triple-camera setup.
