Samsung is not only being tipped to launch its Tizen OS-based smartphone in India this month, but is now also being tipped to launch the unannounced Galaxy Core Prime (G360H) handset in the country by a retailer.

While Samsung has not made any official announcements on the launch of the smartphone, an established Mumbai-based smartphone retailer, Mahesh Telecom, has revealed the smartphone will be priced at Rs. 9,599 in India. Notably, the handset was also seen listed on Flipkart, an e-commerce website, in October at Rs. 8,499.

The retailer, on its Facebook Page, has also mentioned the smartphone specifications, corroborating Flipkart's listing (now removed) except a minor change in processor clock speed and dual-SIM support instead of single SIM.

The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is said to feature dual-SIM support, a 4.5-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) PLS (plane-to-line switching) TFT display, and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). The Galaxy Core Prime is said to include a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front camera. There is a 2000mAh battery onboard. The connectivity options in the handset include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 3G. It is worth noting that although the post mentions 3G connectivity, the Flipkart listing had shown showed 4G-support for the handset.

The Galaxy Core Prime is also listed by the retailer to sport an accelerometer and proximity sensor, apart from measuring 130.8x67.9x8.8mm and sporting a matte body finish with metal sides.
