Samsung unveiled its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, just a few hours ago, and though it didn't talk about accessories during the main event, it has already showcased some of the prominent official accessories on the microsite dedicated to the phone. Here's a list of 5 accessories that we found interesting:

1. S-Band: As we now know, the Galaxy S4 sports specialised sensors including a temperature and humidity sensor, as well as a pedometer, for use with its S-Health fitness tracking feature. But Samsung extends its functionality further by offering the S Band, which is in a way like the Nike Fuel band. It can record steps, calories burned and distance covered, and check sleep efficiency working in tandem with the S-Health app.

2. Heart Rate Monitor:
The site also lists a wearable heart rate monitor which checks the heart rate in real time.

3. Body Scale: Samsung has also introduced a Body Scale that measures your weight and sends it to the Galaxy S4 via Bluetooth, supporting up to 7 users.

4. Wireless charging pad/cover: The other big accessory in the lineup is the Wireless Charging Pad and cover. There are conflicting reports on whether the phone supports the Qi standard, and if it would require a different back cover for the functionality. A report by Engadget says that the phone does have inbuilt wireless charging feature but it would vary with the carrier offering the phone and the region. CNET says that you'll need a new back cover to enable wireless charging.

5. Game Pad: Another accessory we found interesting is the Game Pad, which supports one touch Bluetooth pairing via NFC Tectile technology, and offers gaming controls. The phone fits into the pad for easy gameplay.Other accessories include the S View Cover which is essentially a flip cover with a window to view the time and weather widget, a regular flip cover, premium pouch, protective cover+, extra battery kit and a premium headset.
