Samsung has launched an LTE-A variant of the Galaxy S5, called the Galaxy S5 4G+, in Singapore.

The South Korean giant announced that the new Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ will be available starting Saturday [August 23] on SingTel, a telecom operator in Singapore. The smartphone will be available in the price range between SGD 0 to SGD 688 (Rs. 33,000 approximately), depending on the plan.

According to Sammy Hub, the Galaxy S5 4G+ will mark the launch of SingTel's new commercial 300Mbps 4G LTE-Advanced service that is also being unveiled on Saturday in the country. The new smartphone will support SingTel's new LTE-A band, and the connectivity feature is also a highlight of the device.

Notably, the new Galaxy S5 4G+ shares a lot of similarities to the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, which is a Korea-specific device. Both Galaxy S5 4G+ and Galaxy S5 LTE-A are powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC clocked at 2.5GHz.

However, there are few differences in both the handsets. The Galaxy S5 4G+ features a 5.1-inch full-HD (1080x1920) Super AMOLED display instead of the QHD (1440x2560) display of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The Galaxy S5 4G+ also features 2GB of RAM, while the Korea-exclusive Galaxy S5 variant includes 3GB of RAM.
