Samsung might launch a dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S6 in Philippines soon, claims a report.

A Philippines-based publication (via Phone Arena) that cites local Samsung representatives suggests that Samsung's local handset unit requested for a dual-SIM avatar of the 2015 flagship. If the report comes turns out to be true, the Samsung Galaxy S6 might be one of first flagship handsets from the South Korean giant to receive a dual-SIM variant. The Samsung Galaxy S5 launched internationally supported just single SIM.

According to report, the Galaxy S6 will support dual Nano-SIM cards while just one slot will support 4G LTE.

The dual curved-display variant, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will reportedly only be available in single-SIM model. The report adds that the 32GB and 64GB models of the Galaxy S6 will launch first in Philippines while the 128GB variant will launch later.

Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge feature identical specifications. Both handsets feature a 5.1-inch Quad HD (1440x2560 pixels) Super Amoled display with a pixel density of 577ppi. The only difference being the latter sports a dual-edge display.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge run Android 5.0 Lollipop and feature a 64-bit, 14nm mobile processor - an octa-core (quad-core 2.1GHz+ quad-core 1.5GHz) processor (chipset not specified, possibly Exynos 7420) coupled with 3GB of RAM (LPDDR4).
