Samsung is reportedly set to start mass production of 5-inch full-HD display that will feature in its next-generation flagship device. According to reports in the Korean media, the production is set to begin near the end of this month.

Samsung's widely anticipated Galaxy S IV smartphone is expected to use a 4.99-inch full-HD display with a likely pixel density of 440ppi. According to the report, Samsung Display will start shipping the displays to Samsung Electronics early March, which seems to be in line with the report earlier today that had indicated that Samsung may announce the Galaxy S IV on March 15. The earlier report had indicated the phone won't ship before April, which means this report about the phone's display fits in nicely.

Other rumoured specifications of the phone include a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera, 2GB RAM, Android Jelly Bean and Samsunsg's Exynos 5 Octa chipset with an incredible eight cores. The smartphone will also include wireless charging support. Some reports have also mentioned the phone will come with a S-Pen stylus as Samsung may look to unite its line of Galaxy and Galaxy Note flagship smartphones.

Samsung has continued its strategy of flooding the market with smartphones at various price points. This year has already seen the launch of multiple Samsung phones include the likes of Samsung Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Young, Galaxy Express, Galaxy S II Plus, Galaxy Xcover 2 and Samsung Galaxy Grand. Rumoured devices include the Samsung Galaxy Discover offering a stock Android experience and Samsung Galaxy Q with a foldable display. Rumours have also pointed that work is ongoing on Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.0.

Clearly, it's been a busy year for Samsung already and we're just in the first week of February with Mobile World Congress yet to come. Can't wait to see what Samsung has lined up for the rest of the year!
