Sony Xperia 10, Xperia 10 Plus are expected to be unveiled on February 25

Sony is reportedly rebranding its XA3-Series of smartphones and will simply be referring to them as Sony Xperia 10-Series. Expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2019 later this month, the Xperia 10-Series is rumoured to include two smartphones with 21:9 CinemaWide screens. While the smaller phone, which was earlier leaked as Sony Xperia XA3, is now said to be called Xperia 10, the larger model is said to be known as Sony Xperia 10 Plus, instead of Xperia XA3 Ultra.

The new branding of Sony Xperia XA3 models has been shared by known tipster Ishan Agrawal. It is unclear at this point whether Sony is planning a similar rebranding of the Xperia XZ phones as well for the year, or the upcoming flagship will be known as Xperia XZ4.

The Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus models have been part of the leaks and rumours for months now. These phones were earlier believed to be coming at the CES 2019 tech fair, but Sony seems to have moved the launch to MWC 2019. The company is now hosting a press event on February 25, on the sidelines of MWC, where it will be showing off the new phones. The event is scheduled to start at 8:15am CET (12:45pm IST).

As per the leaks, Sony Xperia 10 is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The phone will sport a 5.9-inch screen with 1080x2560 pixel resolution. The Sony Xperia 10 Plus, on the other hand, will feature a 6.5-inch display with 1080x2560 pixel resolution. Additionally, both Sony phones will include the connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band and Bluetooth 5.0 as well as USB Type-C port. The Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus phones will also come with dual-camera setups on the back and a single selfie camera on the front, but the sensor specifics are a mystery at this point.
