Sony Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra Price in India Cut

Sony has slashed the price of the Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphones in India. The company confirmed price cut in a communication to retailers seen by Gadgets 360. Originally priced at Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 29,990 (suggested retail prices), respectively, the Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra will now be available for Rs. 17,990 and Rs. 27,990 (suggested retail prices) starting Tuesday in all Sony Centres and major electronic stores across the country. At the time of writing, the Xperia XA1 price remained unchanged on Flipkart while the new pricing for both the smartphones can be found on Amazon India.

The Japanese consumer electronics giant is looking to attract more buyers with the new prices for the Sony Xperia XA1 and the Xperia XA1 Ultra. The former was launched in India back in April while the latter made it to the country in July. Both the smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat and highlight a 23-megapixel rear camera setup.

The Xperia XA1 features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It is available in White, Black, and Pink colour variants.

On the other hand, the Xperia XA1 Ultra features a 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core SoC with Mali T880 MP2 900MHz GPU and 4GB RAM. The smartphone offers 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable further via a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It is available in Black, White, and Gold colour options.

As mentioned, the Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra bear similar 23-megapixel rear cameras with Exmor RS image sensor, hybrid autofocus, 24mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, 5x zoom, and HDR mode. Front cameras differ with the former housing an 8-megapixel with no front flash or OIS, while the latter bears a 16-megapixel Exmor RS sensor with front flash, 23mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and autofocus..

The Xperia XA1 packs a 2300mAh battery, and includes connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The Xperia XA1 Ultra houses a larger 2700mAh battery and includes connectivity options like LTE (4G), LTE Cat6/4, GSM GPRS/EDGE (2G), and UMTS HSPA+ (3G).
