Micromax's Yu Televentures subsidiary seems to be gearing up to launch two new smartphones, the Yunique Plus and Yureka S. Both the new Yu smartphones are now listed on the company site with pricing details. We can expect the handsets to soon go on sale in India.
While the Yu Yunique Plus has been priced at Rs. 6,499, the Yu Yureka S is priced at Rs. 12,999.
The Yu Yunique Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 4.7-inch (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage and can be expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and an f/2.0 aperture. There is a 2-megapixel front camera on board as well. It supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. Notably, both the SIM cards support 4G. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery.
The Yu Yureka S, on the other hand, features a 5.2-inch (1080x1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. It supports 16GB of inbuilt storage and comes with hybrid SIM slot.
It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and also features the company's Around Yu, a service aggregator platform that was introduced last year alongside the Yutopia flagship. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and also comes with full-HD video recording support. It sports a 5-megapixel front camera. The handset supports 4G LTE alongside other connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
