Pixar has named its main office building after its head founder, the late Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs is of course remembered as Apple co-founder and the genius inspiration between Apple's iconic products, from the original Macintosh to the iPhone and the iPad. Pixar was the other company close to his heart, having founded the studios after being forced out of Apple.

Steve Jobs bought The Graphics Group from Lucasfilm's computer graphics division in 1986, later renaming it Pixar Animation Studios. Jobs played a key role in keeping the company alive during its difficult years, pumping more and more of his own money as he believed in the company's vision. His belief and the team's hard work paid-off, with the company now being known for such classic movies as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, WALL-E and various others.

Now, the company has paid a fitting tribute to Steve Jobs by naming its main office building 'The Steve Jobs Building'. A Pixar employee tweeted the picture of the building and it was soon picked up by Pixar Times.

On Twitter, a Pixar employee shared an image taken by a friend, stating that the building had been named "The Steve Jobs Building." Peering in through the windows, you can clearly see the outline of Sulley, confirming that this is the main building that Steve Jobs himself played a major role in designing. He came up with the idea that the building should be centered around a large atrium, which would lead to accidental collaboration that may not occur if everyone was stuck in their individual offices.
