Oppo has launched the Realme 2 in India at the same price as the Realme 1. This is a surprising turn of events considering that it's likely to confuse people who want to buy the smartphone. Why are two smartphones under the same brand name available at the exact same price? Reviewer Shobhit Varma joins host Pranay Parab to discuss. The Realme 2's price in India is likely to give a lot of potential buyers a headache because the smartphone offers slightly different hardware specifications at the same price as the Realme 1. The Realme 2's launch date in India is August 28, but its first sale is only on September 4 on Flipkart. While the flash sale model is something that Gadgets 360's staff members don't like, it's come to define the way an entire line of online exclusive smartphones are sold.

We begin this episode by talking about the Realme 2's price and then move on to talking about the display and its peculiar notch. We talk about how the Realme 1 didn't have a notch and why Oppo may have chosen to include it in the Realme 2. Then we compare the display of the Realme 2 to that of its predecessor. The next part of this episode compares the build quality of these two smartphones. We then move on to talking about the performance of the Realme 2. This where Realme 2 specs are discussed at length and we look at whether the smartphone offers good value for money. We then talk about Realme 2's camera performance and whether that is any different from what we saw with the Realme 1. Finally we talk about the Realme 2's software and compare it against other instances of customised versions of Android. Before we end this episode, we try to guess the logic behind naming this smartphone Realme 2, which is where some creative answers are provided.
