BSNL launches Penta T-Pad WS703C with voice calling for Rs. 6,999

BSNL and Pantel Technologies continue to add more tablets to their basket with the Penta T-Pad WS703C being the latest to join their collection. The tablet comes with voice calling capabilities and 2G connectivity and is priced at Rs.6,999.

The WS703C sports a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch capacitive display and runs on Android 4.0.3. The device comes with two VGA cameras rear and front and 4GB internal storage with external expansion options up to 32GB.

The tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor, has a Mali 400 graphics card and 512MB RAM. Connectivity options include WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. The tablet also comes with a mini USB and HDMI port.

The device supports multiple audio and video formats and features a 3000 mAh battery. BSNL pre-paid customers can avail attractive data plans including a Rs. 125 plan that would offer 4GB of free 2G data with 60 days validity and a Rs. 150 plan that would offer 2GB of free 3G data that is valid for 60 days.

At the launch event of the tablet, Kapil Sibal, Minister of HDR and Communications and Information Technology gave away 674 tablets to meritorious students of the SSLC - 2012 exam in Kerala.

BSNL's current offerings include Penta T-Pad IS701R, Penta T-Pad IS701C, Penta T-Pad WS704C, Penta T-Pad WS802C that was launched in August and the more recently launched WiFi-only Penta T-Pad for Rs. 3,999.
