The on-going high profile legal battle between Samsung and Apple has also become a good source for products leaks. The latest to be spotted is a brand new Samsung tablet.

According to a news report by The Verge, Samsung might be working on a 11.8-inch tablet with 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) resolution. It is codenamed "P10" and seems to have a Retina-like display. Going by the looks, it will include LTE connectivity.

This is not the first time that news in regards to a large screen tablet has surfaced. BGR had dropped a hint in regards to the same being in the works in December 2011 and also mentioned that Samsung might be looking at launching this tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2012. However, now it seems like Samsung is running behind its schedule as far as this tablet is concerned.

The court documents mention P10 as a 2012 product so it is a possibility that Samsung may announce this tablet soon.

Meanwhile it is expected that Apple on its part might launch iPad Mini on September 12, 2012.

Samsung on its part already offers tablets in varying screen sizes such as 7-inch, 8.9 inch and 10.1-inch. The Korean cheabol is also offering Galaxy Note, which has a 5-inch screen and is positioned as a hybrid between tablet and a smartphone. It is expected that Samsung may launch a successor to Samsung Galaxy Note in August 2012.

As far as the 11.8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tablet is concerned, it will be interesting to see how they would position yet another screen size for its tablet device and the consumer acceptability for the same.
