Lenovo Ideapad Tablet Lynx K3011, ThinkPad Tablet 2 with Windows 8 launched in India

China-based computer maker, Lenovo has launched its new line of Android and Windows tablets priced between Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 51,990.

The new range of Lenovo Android tablets includes the A1000, A3000 and the S6000 while the Windows-powered tablets include the ThinkPad Tablet 2 and the IdeaPad Lynx K3011.

The IdeaPad Lynx K3011 features an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. The tablet is based on Windows 8 and is backed by an Intel Atom Z2760 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablets measures 300.9x188x9.48mm and weigh around 640 grams. It includes an internal storage of 64GB which is non-expandable and includes 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tablet comes with a dock that features a physical keyboard, additional battery and USB ports. The IdeaPad Lynx K3011 is priced at Rs. 51,990.

The second Windows-based tablet is the ThinkPad tablet 2 which is powered by a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 processor and an Intel HD SGX545 GFX for graphics processor. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 comes in two variants Windows 8 x86 (32-bit) and Windows 8 Pro x86 (32-bit). The tablet features a 10.1-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. There are dual cameras - 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 has been priced at around Rs. 50,000 plus taxes.

The offering is highly flexible to accommodate multiple needs and budgets," said Shailendra Katyal, Director, Consumer Business, Lenovo India.
