LG G Pad 8.3 tablet to hit 30 countries by end of this year: Report

LG's latest G Pad 8.3 tablet will be launched in 30 countries by the end of this year, if a report is to be believed.

A Korean report claims that LG's much anticipated tablet, the G Pad 8.3 will be shipped to 30 countries in Africa, Asia, CIS, Europe, Latin America and North America. The report also notes that the rollout will begin from North Korea and can be expected to be released in sequence from east to west.

LG finally pulled the curtains off its long-rumoured tablet, the LG G Pad 8.3 at IFA 2013. The South Korean major announced the tablet and revealed its specifications, however the company did not detail the pricing yet.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean-based LG G Pad 8.3 comes with an 8.3-inch WUXGA display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a pixel density of 273ppi. The tablet is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor along with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of built-in storage available. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet measures 216.8x126.5x8.3mm and weighs 338 grams, shipping with a 4600mAh battery.

The tablet comes with exclusive features like Slide Aside, which enables multitasking by sliding currently running apps off to the side using a three-finger swipe; QSlide, which lets you control up to three different apps in one window with no interruption, and KnockON, which turns the device on and off by tapping the display twice. The LG G Pad 8.3 will come in two colour variants - Black and White.

Recently, the South Korean major announced that its flagship Android smartphone, the LG G2 will hit German and U.S. markets within this month. The company also announced that its latest flagship is ready for a global rollout.
