Jio vs Airtel: Prepaid and Postpaid Plans With More Than 2GB Data Per Day

Except Jio and Airtel, no major operator offers plans with more than 2GB data per day

Jio has been dictating market terms since it launched operations, first keeping the services free and charging nominally for data. In fact, Jio introduced the concept of daily data allocation with prepaid and postpaid packs, something all other operators were quick to follow. However, these daily data plans by Jio, Airtel and the likes are mostly concentrated at users who want 1GB or 2GB data per day, but only a few such plans cater to the requirements of subscribers needing more data than that. We take a look at the prepaid and postpaid plans giving consumers more than 2GB data per day, and are taking into consideration packs that have a daily consumption limit. Take a look:

Reliance Jio plans with more than 2GB data per day

Starting with the telecom operator that started the mobile data war, Jio kicked off similar mobile data packages last year offering unlimited data to its subscribers. Here are all the packs from Reliance Jio that offer more than 2GB 4G data per day.

Prepaid
Reliance Jio has just one prepaid pack that offers more than 2GB of 4G data per day. The Rs. 799 pack provides 3GB of 4G data per day along with free unlimited voice calls (local + STD + roaming) to all operators, free unlimited SMSes, and unlimited access to all Jio apps for a validity of 28 days. This gives the user a total of 84GB high speed data. Daily limit of high speed data is followed by unlimited access at 64Kbps.

Postpaid
In the postpaid category, Jio also has just one plan that offers benefits of over 2GB 4G data per day. Priced at Rs. 799, this plan provides 3GB of 4G data per day apart from unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMSes, and access to Jio apps. There is a security deposit of Rs. 950 and the validity is of a standard billing cycle. Daily limit of high speed data is followed by unlimited access at 64Kbps.

Airtel plans with more than 2GB data per day

Gurugram-headquartered telco Airtel is the oldest player among the lot. With a significant subscriber base, Airtel has had to cut down tariff rates ever since Reliance Jio jumped into the scene. Here is the only packs from Airtel that offer more than 2GB 4G data per day.

Prepaid
Airtel offers two prepaid packs with benefits of over 2GB 4G data per day. The first one is priced at Rs. 549 and offers the subscriber with 3GB of data per day, unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls (non-commercial use), and 100 free SMSes per day. The validity of this pack is 28 days. Yet another pack offers 3.5GB data per day with a tariff of Rs. 799. This pack also provides unlimited voice calls (non-commercial use) and 100 free SMSes per day.
