A report claims that the BSNL packs are also available in other circles, priced at Rs. 99 and Rs. 319
State-owned telecom operator BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has reportedly announced two new voice-only packs in its prepaid mobile suite for the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle, priced at Rs. 105 and Rs. 328. The packs offer unlimited access to local, STD, and roaming voice calls, and are dubbed the BSNL Ananth and BSNL Ananth Plus recharge packs, respectively. A report claims that the packs are also available in other circles, however priced at Rs. 99 and Rs. 319. Additionally, a data-only pack has also been announced by BSNL, with data rates at an all-time low. Let's get into the details.
The Rs. 105 BSNL recharge pack, dubbed BSNL Ananth, comes as the telco's entry-level pack that offers truly unlimited calling with a validity of 26 days. The pack does not include any data or SMS benefits, reports Telecom Talk. On the other hand, the Rs. 328 recharge pack, called Ananth Plus, offers the same calling benefits with an extended validity of 90 days, offering value for money. Notably, free calling is not applicable in the Delhi and Mumbai telecom circles. To recall, similarly priced packs were released back in May albeit with pan-India availability at the same prices.
For data lovers, BSNL has yet another entry-level data-only recharge pack priced at Rs. 98, dubbed the Data Tsunami pack. This pack offers 1.5GB of daily data with a validity of 26 days, taking total data benefits to 39GB. This effectively gives the pack a per GB cost of just Rs. 2.5. However, BSNL currently offers its 4G services only in the Kerala circle, but has plans to expand that coverage in the coming months.
For the ongoing holiday season, BSNL recently released a new festive offer that brings 2.2GB of additional daily data on five of the telecom operator's prepaid packs - priced at Rs. 186, Rs. 429, Rs. 485, Rs. 666, and Rs. 999.
