After slashing 3G rates in the country, Vodafone India is now looking at making international roaming cheaper for its post-paid subscribers. India's third largest telecom service provider has announced a new plan through which it seeks to offer 60 percent discount for Voice, Data and SMS through one single pack. The discount being offered is valid across 40 popular international destinations such as Australia, France, Italy, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and US.

To subscribe to this new plan, users will have to pay a one-time rental of Rs. 1,499. Subscribers can activate this plan by texting ACT VROAM to 111. Upon activation, the plan will be valid for a period of 30 days. If users wish to re-activate the pack upon its expiry, they will have to send a fresh SMS.

Apart from the price saving, there are two more advantages of using this pack. Firstly, it is a single pack, which seeks to offer the best call, SMS & data rates. Secondly, with the help of this pack users do not need to search for the best country specific packs. This will appeal to those subscribers who plan to visit more than one country within a 30 day time frame.

"We, at Vodafone, have a customer first approach and always believe in providing differentiated and customised solutions to our customers. This latest offering addresses the latent needs of customers travelling to multiple countries with a single pack on one number and one-time rental, thus making international roaming a worry-free experience," said Sanjoy Mukerji - Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India.

This plan will be available till September 30, 2012.
