Vu Technologies has launched seven new smart TVs in its Play and Iconium product lines, four of which are 4K models and come with the Netflix app preloaded as well as dedicated Netflix and YouTube launcher buttons on their remote controls. The models range from 32 inches to 65 inches and are priced between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 1,20,000. The launch took place alongside last week's CES trade show in Las Vegas.

The 32-inch and 48-inch Play models feature full-HD panels while the 40-, 43-, 50-, 60-, and 65-inch Iconium models all have 4K panels. The top-end Vu LTDN65XT780XWAU3D offers Miracast and DLNA streaming, 4K video upscaling, four HDMI ports, three USB ports, Wi-Fi, and apps through the Opera TV Store.

The 43-inch 43S6535 model in particular has nine gesture-based Virtual JiaJia Sports games preloaded, which use a smartphone as the controller. You can also use a smartphone app as a replacement remote control and stream video from the TV to a smartphone to watch it while moving around. Social media and content apps are preloaded. All the newly launched TVs run Android 4.4.

Vu TVs have been available exclusively through Flipkart since last year following a deal struck by the two companies. An official press statement says that Vu's sales have seen grown to 150 percent since then thanks to the booming e-commerce market in India. Installation and a demo of the TV's smart features are provided to buyers.

In a press statement, Devita Saraf, CEO and Design Head of Vu Technologies said, "Our brand is all about fulfilling aspirations, offering consumers the best designs and highest level of technology at highly competitive pricing."

Vu had previously launched full-HD TVs in the Play series, ranging from 24 to 60 inches.
